A+K Superior Coatings are renewing their sponsorship of the Purple Bombers for the 2018 season. They were the first ever business sponsor to sign up with the Purple Bombers, and are renewing their sponsorship again this year for the second year running. Adrian Chircop of A+K is proud to help fund the great work that the Purple Bombers do for the LGBTIQ community – he says it mixes footy (which he loves) and a cause that’s really important and that deserves support.

Adrian Chircop started his painting business over 12 years ago. A+K Superior Coatings are the friendly and reliable paint team who get the job done. Specialising in commercial as well as residential paint projects, plus rendering, wallpaper, wood staining, restoration works and heaps more! Adrian’s a passionate Bombers supporter and has been an Essendon member for as long as he can remember. His business sponsors 2 organisations: Purple Bombers and his local footy club that he plays for and volunteers his time (coaching Under 15’s and the Reserves team), North Footscray Devils footy club.

We asked Adrian ‘Why sponsor the Purple Bombers?’

“I have been a Bombers supporter since I was born. I love footy and am involved at a local level, and am proud that my AFL team, Essendon, are showing initiative and promoting equality. Knowing and being friends with Paul, the Vice President, it’s an honour to be able to show my support in this way.”

“Being a sponsor is a great opportunity and I’ve met some great people, and what better way than being part of the sponsoring group to show my support. It’s opened my eyes to what we need to do to better educate each other about diversity. Personally I think everyone is equal and if I can help to educate my network and my friends and family then I feel like I’ve done something to help. Anyone and everyone, at all skill levels, can appreciate and play footy in a safe manner. If you’re an arm chair supporter or go to the games, you can feel safe and supported and included.
